Outlook Email Issues 2024 Issues. Do you have a microsoft 365 account? As far as i know, if you are using a pop or imap connection to outlook.com, newer authentication is not supported.

Microsoft outlook and microsoft 365 suffered an outage that prevented some users from accessing their email, and you might need to take action to get it back if you’re affected. My ‘new’ outlook is no longer opening at all, i’ve had to revert to the old version.
